Title: (CASUAL) Instructor - Pharmacy Practice (UPDATED July 22, 2026) Hiring Unit: Daniel K Inouye College of Pharmacy Position: ***Casual Hire*** Location: UH Hilo Date Posted: July 14, 2026 Closing Date: July 28, 2026 Salary: $1000/lecture hour Full time/Part time: Part-time, no more than 19 hours/week Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Other Conditions: Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected to begin August 2026 or soon thereafter. Not to exceed July 31, 2027.

Duties: Provide up to 19 hours of instruction in didactic areas of oncology pharmacotherapeutics in the in-person PharmD curriculum, including oncology principles, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, HPV/cervical cancer, and oncologic supportive care. The responsibilities include delivering lectures, case studies, and workshops, writing assessment questions, being available for office hours, and providing remediations if needed. Minimum Qualifications: Pharmacist licensure in any state in the United States at the time of hire.

Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university. Pharmacy practice experience of 1-3 years with experience teaching pharmacy students. Willingness to collaborate with other faculty on team taught courses.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience in teaching oncology pharmacotherapeutics in pharmacy education. Five (5) years pharmacy practice experience. Prior teaching experience in a PharmD program or graduate/professional education and in precepting PharmD students.

Successful completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 residency program or post-doctoral fellowship. Experience with curricular development, assessment and evaluation in a PharmD program. Knowledge of the accreditation standards of the Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
