We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Pharmacist to join a collaborative healthcare team at our customer site, Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, providing comprehensive medication management and clinical pharmacy services to support safe, effective patient care and optimal clinical outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and verifies physician medication orders for clinical appropriateness, considering patient condition, organ function, allergies, disease state, and concurrent therapies to optimize outcomes
  • Processes medication orders accurately, including order entry, product selection, compounding, labeling, and oversight of technician-prepared products in compliance with legal and hospital standards
  • Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals by providing drug information, recommendations, and clinical support
  • Ensures timely availability of medications through proper inventory management, procurement of formulary and non-formulary items, and oversight of drug storage areas
  • Maintains compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, accreditation standards, HIPAA requirements, and hospital policies and procedures
  • Participates in performance improvement activities, committee work (e.g., Pharmacy & Therapeutics), documentation of pharmacist interventions, and preparation of departmental reports
  • Supports departmental operations by orienting new staff and students, assigning technician workloads, responding to emergencies (e.g., code situations), and assuming leadership responsibilities in the Director of Pharmacy's absence
  • Performs additional related duties as required to support departmental and hospital operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy, required by start date
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Indiana, or the ability to obtain licensure by start date
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualification:

  • Some Hospital Pharmacy work experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
