What You'll Do

As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and help ensure medications are prepared accurately, efficiently and on time.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assist pharmacists with filling and preparing prescription orders
  • Package and label medications accurately
  • Prepare medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision
  • Enter and maintain prescription and patient information
  • Help organize medications and pharmacy supplies
  • Support inventory and medication preparation processes
  • Communicate with pharmacists, team members and healthcare partners as needed
  • Follow pharmacy procedures and applicable state and federal requirements
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information
  • Help keep pharmacy operations organized, accurate and efficient

Depending on experience, you may also work alongside senior or lead pharmacy technicians who can provide additional guidance and support.


What We're Looking For
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Tennessee Pharmacy Technician registration required
  • PTCB certification required, or equivalent certification as applicable
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information
