About ALFA
ALFA Specialty Pharmacy is a pharmacist-led, closed-door pharmacy serving patients with chronic conditions, group homes, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and long-term care-at-home populations. We are located in Columbia, Maryland.  Our pharmacists practice at the top of their license through comprehensive medication management, proactive clinical interventions, medication reconciliation, adherence support, and close collaboration with the healthcare team. Position Summary
This leadership role combines operational excellence with advanced clinical pharmacy practice. You will oversee pharmacy operations while making meaningful clinical interventions that improve patient safety, optimize therapy, and enhance quality of life.

Primary Responsibilities
·         Lead pharmacy production and workflow.
·         Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians.
·         Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance.
·         Perform medication reviews, reconciliation, and clinical interventions.
·         Collaborate with physicians, nurses, caregivers, patients, and residential staff.
·         Identify medication-related problems and recommend therapy optimization.
·         Ensure compliance with all federal, DEA, HIPAA, CMS, and Maryland Board of Pharmacy requirements.
·         Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • RPh or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution required
  • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Maryland
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing pharmacy teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
