Job description

Informatics PharmacistPosition Overview

Seeking a clinically experienced pharmacist to support pharmacy informatics, medication safety, technology optimization, and regulatory compliance. The role combines clinical pharmacy responsibilities with informatics and technology-focused work.

Schedule:
  • Primarily on-site.
  • Remote work available 1 day per week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize and support pharmacy informatics systems, technology, and workflows.
  • Improve medication safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support drug diversion monitoring programs and related tools.
  • Maintain the integrity of the medication-use process and supply chain.
  • Provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care, including dispensing and drug information.
  • Support pharmacy operations in accordance with hospital standards and pharmacy law.
Technology & Systems

Experience or familiarity with:

  • Pharmacy automation systems.
  • Automated dispensing systems.
  • Smart IV pumps.
  • Barcode and scanning technology.
  • Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
  • Medication safety monitoring tools.
  • Drug diversion tracking and reporting platforms.
Required Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Current pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in the required state.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASHP-accredited residency.
  • Board Certification in Pharmacy Informatics (BCPIS) or related certification.
  • Experience with pharmacy automation, informatics, or IT applications.
  • Knowledge of EHRs, medication-use systems, and controlled-substance regulatory requirements.
