Trains, leads and serves as a resource to other fulfillment technicians. Supports pharmacy management by assisting in daily operational workflow and scheduling to ensure adequate staffing and resources are available to meet business needs.

Essential Job Functions (include the following):
  • Consistently perform all activities and duties of Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician II at above standard performance levels.
  • Schedule Fulfillment Technician staff to ensure adequate coverage for workflow while minimizing overtime time as appropriate.
  • Work with Fulfillment Supervisor/Manager to evaluate workflow processes and help implement changes as necessary to meet deadlines
  • Ensure all medications are complete and accurate prior to scheduled departures with sufficient time for the medications to be prepared for courier delivery
  • Prioritize and assign workflow to each Fulfillment Technician. Monitor both productivity and accuracy.
  • Participate in training the Fulfillment staff to ensure Fulfillment technicians are fully trained on assigned workflow area and processes within established time period.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and departmental resource in the majority of fulfillment workflows.
  • In coordination with Director of Operations, provide input on performance evaluations.
  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles, assisting in physical inventory, and keeping inventory neat and arranged in-order.
  • Consistently exceed pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
  • Lead by example in all areas of role and supporting the non-negotiable attributes; attitude, dependability, commitment, productivity, efficiency, and upholding policies, and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of LTC pharmacy experience including 1 year as Fulfillment Technician II or III.
  • Pharmacy software experience required. Ability to extract reports.
  • Proficient in computer applications related to department operations and job function.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors, inquire about inaccuracies and resolve as appropriate.
