Job description

We are a pharmacy in Clintonville looking for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team. You will assist our licensed pharmacist by preparing medications, managing prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and providing customer service while ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations. If you are looking for a stable schedule and a team that values your experience

This is a Monday-Friday, 9 am to 4 pm role with no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Assist customers with prescription pick-up, payments, and general inquiries.
  • Verify patient information and insurance details.
  • Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate patient and prescription records.
  • Monitor medication inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Receive, stock, and organize medications and pharmacy supplies.
  • Follow all pharmacy laws, regulations, and HIPAA privacy requirements.
  • Assist pharmacists with medication therapy support and other pharmacy operations as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan Pharmacy Technician License is required
  • Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and dosage forms.
  • Experience with pharmacy management software and electronic health records.
