Working as part of an integrated multidisciplinary care team alongside physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, our clinical services include compliance packaging, MedsChecks, minor ailments assessments, and vaccine administration. - Position: Pharmacy AssistantÂ
Reports to: Pharmacy Manager - Salary: $18 - $20 / HourlyÂ
- Shedule: Monday to Friday (9am to 5:30pm)
- Location: 102-245 E Columbia Street, New Westminster, BC V3L 3W4.Â
Your Day to Day: Support the Pharmacy Manager in day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
Ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and regulatory compliance
Receive prescriptions and verify for completeness (patient details, prescriber info, third-party coverage, special instructions)
Accurately input and update patient information using pharmacy software
Assist with prescription preparation under pharmacist supervision (7-point, visual, and DIN checks)
Maintain appropriate inventory levels, monitor expiry dates, and manage restocking
Keep the dispensary clean, safe, and well-organized, including cleaning equipment and work areas
Organize clerical documents such as prescriptions, invoices, and reports
Support OTC operations, including ordering, stocking, and cashier duties
Communicate effectively with staff and external stakeholders to maintain a patient-centered environment
What You Bring to the Table: Diploma or certificate in Pharmacy Assistant or Technician program from a recognized institution (required)
1-2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in community or hospital settings
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required
Strong familiarity with pharmacy operations and regulatory guidelines
Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with pharmacy systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic health record (EHR) platforms
Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
Experience supporting managerial functions is a strong asset
