Summary of Job

Lead and Direct Pharmacy Account Management for the enterprise, including managing and leading Pharmacy Account Manager(s) and Clinical Pharmacy Account Manager(s) for both pharmacy direct clients as well as shared clients with Product and City Account Management Teams. Responsible for meeting all client contract deliverables, including building and delivering Pharmacy Reporting, Strategy, and Recommendations. Direct product strategies; translate strategic priorities into actionable product roadmaps and implementation plans. Drive and facilitate growth & profitability across pharmacy product lines. Collaborate with Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations to identify and resolve Product and/or Client Service gaps as well as to identify and drive strategies impacting the entire pharmacy team and all Emblem products, clients, members, and lines of business. Partner with Product Leads, Client Relationship/Management, and P&L owners as a key resource for support, strategy, issue resolution, and developing proactive monitoring/reporting and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of client relationships within EmblemHealth's employer group clients to ensure they have the information, products, and support needed from the health plan.
  • Develop and support all Pharmacy bid and RFP responses for existing and potential clients.
  • Develop and manage pharmacy-related products and services to drive growth and improve client and member experience.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and unmet client and member needs.
  • Identify opportunities for new pharmacy products and existing line of business product enhancements related to pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with and support cross-functional teams and internal customers, including Account Management, Product Leads, clinical, legal, and marketing, to ensure seamless product development, account management, and execution.
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and performance to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure effective product promotion and support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support and Lead Pharmacy portions of direct and carve in bid and RFPs, including building and maintaining responses and supporting financial model builds.
  • Direct the end-to-end development and launch of new pharmacy products and services.
  • Develop and refine product strategies based on market trends, data analysis, and business objectives.
  • Oversee the design and deployment of technology enhancements to support pharmacy products.
  • Monitor product performance, track key metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive product adoption, customer engagement, and member satisfaction.
  • Analyze data and user feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and optimizations.
  • Understand and partner with pharmacy operations and regulations, including pharmacy benefit management, drug formularies, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Licensed Pharmacist (Preferred)
  • 10 - 12+ years of relevant professional work experience (Required)
  • 8+ years of experience in product pharmacy management and/or pharmacy account management or related field (Required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop and present data-driven reports, presentations, and solutions (Required)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, including clients, internal stakeholders that are technical and non-technical in nature (Required)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, able to successfully work across a collaborative, cross-functional team environment (Required)
  • Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Required)
  • Ability to lead pharmacy account management teams to support excellent internal and external customer service (Required)
  • Ability to attend and lead in person client meetings as needed (Required)
