Work you'll do

As an Associate Vice President, AI and Data Solutions on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead AI & Data engagements focused on manufacturing, quality, and digital operations transformation for Life Sciences / Pharma clients.
  • Shape and deliver use cases such as process visibility, exception management, predictive insights, AI-assisted quality analytics, intelligent automation, and connected operations.
  • Translate manufacturing and quality business needs into scalable AI, data, and digital solution designs.
  • Work across business, product, architecture, engineering, and client teams to support implementation and adoption.
  • Help clients connect process transformation with enabling systems, data foundations, and value realization.
  • Support broader AI & Data pursuits and delivery efforts beyond manufacturing and quality when needed.
  • Lead engagement planning, budgeting, staffing, and team mobilization for data and AI initiatives
  • Define deliverable structure and content; manage quality, timelines, economics, and engagement risk
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors and facilitate buy-in for proposed solutions
  • Lead business development activities, including client relationship development, pursuit leadership, proposal development, and pricing strategy input
  • Coach and develop practitioners through counseling, staffing input, recruitment, retention, and delivery team leadership
  • Lead workshops, executive presentations, and stakeholder sessions.
  • Mentor junior practitioners and contribute to practice, offering, and go-to-market development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data strategy, analytics, AI/ML, and digital transformation
  • 6+ years of experience in Life Sciences or pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality, or operational transformation projects
  • 6+ years of experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms
  • 4+ years of experience leading, managing, and delivering complex technology engagements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Industry 4.0, smart factory, digital plant, connected operations, or AI-enabled quality initiatives
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience leading executive presentations and client workshops for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience developing proposals or solution materials for data and analytics professional services engagements

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $171,600 to $338,300.
