Job Title: Principal Consultant – Commercial Data & Marketing Technology
Primary Location: Remote, must reside in the US and will have occasional travel

Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a highly experienced Principal Consultant focused on Commercial Data & Marketing Technology within the life sciences/pharma space for our premier client. This individual will serve as both a senior technical leader and client-facing strategic partner supporting complex commercial data and MarTech initiatives.
This is a highly hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise alongside executive-level consulting and stakeholder management capabilities. The ideal candidate can operate comfortably across architecture, engineering, agile delivery leadership, commercial analytics, and senior client advisory responsibilities.
The role will support a high-visibility life sciences engagement with opportunity to expand impact across additional pharma initiatives over time.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in pharma/life sciences commercial data, MarTech, or commercial analytics

  • Strong hands-on Databricks engineering and architecture experience

  • Experience building and operating enterprise-scale modern data platforms

  • Production-level Azure DevOps CI/CD experience

  • Deep understanding of pharma commercial data ecosystems

  • Experience supporting omnichannel marketing and analytics initiatives

  • Strong agile delivery leadership experience

  • Ability to lead executive stakeholder conversations while remaining technically hands-on

Preferred Background

  • Consulting or agency experience supporting pharma/life sciences clients

  • Experience with physician-level/NPI-linked data models

  • Familiarity with next-best-action and journey orchestration concepts

  • Experience integrating media agency planning and execution datasets

  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills

What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Lead overall engagement delivery cadence including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stakeholder reviews, and status reporting

  • Own architectural decisions across enterprise commercial data platforms

  • Design and oversee ingestion frameworks across media, CRM, MarTech, and pharma data ecosystems

  • Work directly within Databricks environments for architecture, code review, troubleshooting, and optimization

  • Translate technical requirements into business outcomes for executive stakeholders

  • Partner closely with marketing, analytics, IT, and engineering leadership teams

  • Mentor and direct both consulting and client-side delivery teams

  • Reconcile campaign metadata and media planning data using Claravine or equivalent taxonomy tooling

  • Drive scalable commercial analytics and omnichannel data enablement initiatives

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
