It organizes and oversees most of the top-level tournaments in North America, including major events like The Players Championship and the FedExCup Playoffs. The PGA Tour is separate from the PGA of America, which focuses on club professionals and the Ryder Cup. Participation in PGA Tour events is primarily based on player rankings, qualifications, and tour cards.
