2nd Swing Golf is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with an accounts payable focus to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. The ideal candidate has experience working in the golf industry, enjoys solving problems, and thrives on meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Controller with data entry and a variety of day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. 
  • Process invoices and support accounts payable functions while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. 
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation. 
  • Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion. 
  • Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities. 
  • Support accounting projects and other administrative duties as assigned. 
  • Prepare and analyze AP aging reports, cash requirement forecasts, and spend analysis for management 
  • Support annual audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and responses to auditor requests 
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments throughout the organization to support business operations and resolve accounting questions. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. 
  • 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably within a mid-size or large organization. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. 
  • Experience working with an ERP system, preferably NetSuite 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion. 
  • Experience working in the golf industry and a passion for the game of golf is strongly preferred.

Compensation: 

Starting salary range is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, based on previous experience.
