SUMMARY

Primary focus is on servicing and installing commercial and retail fueling systems. Tasks include equal portions of underground storage tank work, above ground storage tank work, plumbing, mechanical, lighting, canopy erecting, concrete and general construction work related to fueling systems.

Petroleum construction experience is required for this position.

Essential Duties

  • Install petroleum dispensing equipment at retail and commercial fuel outlets
  • Remove and install petroleum underground storage tanks
  • Work with a crew of technicians to plumb and wire fuel dispensing equipment
  • Install indoor and outdoor lighting
  • Operate aerial lifts and bucket trucks
  • Run electrical conduits and pull wiring to electrical controls and lighting systems
  • Thread and install steel and fiberglass piping components
  • Operate excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, compactors, skid loaders, air compressors, concrete saws and jack hammers
  • Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations
  • Responsible for displaying conduct which reflects positively on the construction department and Petro Towery.
  • Promote Petro Towery’s mission statement.
  • Technicians are expected to provide quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Experience in: piping systems, spill bucket replacement, sump repair, shear valve installation and maintenance, fuel line repair, dispenser part replacement, canopy maintenance, underground storage tanks (USTs), and fill valve servicing.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED and/or one to three years construction experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education
  • Valid Driver License, with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand necessary service and training manuals.
  • Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to include being in an on call rotation.
