Job Title: Bankruptcy Ledger Specialist
Location: Henderson, NV or Remote

Village Capital is a well-established mortgage company committed to delivering a quick, efficient, and quality mortgage loan process to our customers and business partners. We are a nationwide mortgage lender specializing in FHA, VA, USDA Loans. Our Headquarters are located in Henderson NV. We are a lender/servicer, who works with loan originators, brokers, and correspondents to offer our customers great rates and good terms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile complex bankruptcy ledgers to ensure absolute financial accuracy.
  • Accurately apply and track pre-petition and post-petition payments in strict compliance with bankruptcy laws and investor guidelines.
  • Utilize Black Knight MSP to manage, update, and audit loan records throughout the bankruptcy lifecycle.
  • Identify, research, and resolve ledger discrepancies, payment misapplications, or suspense balance issues.
  • Collaborate closely with internal bankruptcy teams, legal counsel, and trustees to ensure seamless loan servicing.
  • Prepare detailed ledger histories and financial breakdowns for court filings or internal audits as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Encompass experience preferred

Specific Qualifications:
  • Must have direct, hands-on experience with Black Knight MSP.
  • 2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry
  • Experience in bankruptcy ledger accounting, for both pre-petition and post-petition payments.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical mindset capable of auditing line-by-line financial transactions.
