Job description

Position Summary
A high-volume, fast-paced immigration law firm is seeking a knowledgeable Immigration Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law to join its Rockville, MD office. This position is available on a full-time or contract basis, depending on the candidate's availability and background. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about helping individuals and families navigate the U.S. immigration process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and file a variety of immigration petitions and applications, including:

  • Family-based and employment-based petitions
  • Adjustment of Status o Naturalization/Citizenship
  • NACARA, TPS, Asylum, and Waivers
  • Immigrant and non-immigrant visas
  • PERM, EB-5, H-1B

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather documentation and provide updates
- Prepare for and represent clients in interviews or appointments before:

  • USCIS
  • ICE
  • CBP
  • Immigration Courts (non-litigation appearances only)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage case deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) a plus, but not require

Education & Experience

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Bar license in Virginia or Maryland (active and in good standing)
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in immigration law
  • Technologically proficient; experience with immigration law platforms and case management systems
