They may also provide basic care such as feeding, playing, and cleaning up after the pet during the walk. Pet walkers often work for busy pet owners who are unable to walk their pets themselves due to time constraints or physical limitations. Some pet walkers are self-employed, while others work for pet care companies. This job requires a genuine love for animals, reliability, and a good understanding of animal behavior.

To thrive as a Pet Walker, you need a solid understanding of animal behavior, basic pet care knowledge, and often experience with different breeds and sizes. Familiarity with GPS tracking apps, scheduling software, and sometimes pet first aid certification is beneficial.
