About the Role: Customer Service Specialist

As a Customer Service Specialist at Fur Baby, you’ll wear many hats. You’ll be the friendly face that greets our customers and pets, the expert scheduler for our services, and the go-to person for all things retail. From answering phone calls and managing client appointments to providing excellent in-person service and product recommendations, you’ll ensure every guest has a seamless experience.

Your role will also involve being knowledgeable about dog breeds, behavior, health, and nutrition. If you’re passionate about pets and love helping owners find the best products for their fur babies, this role is perfect for you!

What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service: Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments for daycare, boarding, and grooming.
  • Check-in & check-out: Handle guest arrivals, departures, and payments, ensuring smooth transactions.
  • Retail expertise: Help customers choose the right food, treats, and supplies for their pets, manage inventory, stock shelves, and keep the retail area clean and organized.
  • Maintain client records: Manage data entry for services, prepare paperwork, and ensure up-to-date vaccinations.
  • Problem-solving: Assist with customer issues, offer solutions, and stay calm under pressure.

  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, sometimes loud, pet-filled environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
