About Us:

Menehune Water Company is a locally owned water delivery company dedicated to providing high-quality purified drinking water to homes and businesses throughout Oahu. We take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and refreshing, dependable water solutions to our community.

Position Overview:

Menehune Water is seeking a motivated, reliable, and physically active individual to join our team as a PET Merchandiser. This position is directly responsible for providing services to our PET and 3-Gallon retail accounts by ensuring product is properly stocked, maintained, and growing at retail locations throughout Oahu.

This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring daily driving, physical lifting, and strong communication with store managers, warehouse staff, and the PET Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain open communication with the PET Manager and Director of Sales

  • Build and sustain working relationships with store managers, clerks, and retail staff to maintain or grow sales

  • Place appropriate orders for each account to maximize sales revenue

  • Assist the PET Manager with orders and small-pack issues

  • Maintain, grow, and upgrade product shelf space at all assigned accounts

  • Review, acknowledge, and confirm receipt of the daily Next Day Merchandisers Log distributed by front office staff. Promptly communicate any discrepancies, routing concerns, invoice issues, or other inaccuracies requiring revision or correction. Route assignments and invoice documentation are included in this communication

  • Conduct a daily pre-route verification of assigned inventory and delivery documentation before departing the warehouse. Spot-check vehicle product counts, invoices, and load accuracy to identify and resolve discrepancies, including misloaded products, missing items, or products assigned to the incorrect vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • Inspect, maintain, and manage expired, damaged, or unsaleable products at assigned accounts, ensuring affected merchandise is promptly removed, exchanged, credited, or otherwise processed in accordance with company procedures

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts at each store and report all counts to the PET Manager

  • Coordinate product transfers between small-pack and 5-gallon warehouses to appropriate accounts

  • Return reusable pallets and boxes to Menehune Water Company when possible

  • Introduce new products to accounts as they become available

  • Set up and break down promotional events related to PET, 3-gallon, and 5-gallon product sales

  • Process orders and fulfill customer needs to ensure satisfaction

  • Obtain appropriate signatures on invoices upon delivery and provide customer copies

  • Manage delivery van scheduling for merchandising across accounts; perform daily check-in/check-out and weekly van cleaning

  • Assist with vehicle maintenance coordination (repairs, safety checks, pick-up/drop-off) as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience

  • Opportunity for advancement within Menehune Water Company

  • Flexible scheduling based on route assignment

  • Complimentary Menehune Water

  • Supportive team environment

Policies & Expectations:

Sick Calls:

  • If you are unable to report to work due to illness, a doctor's note is required before you may return. You must also notify management in advance of your expected return date.

  • Failure to follow up after calling out will result in removal from the schedule until management is notified. Staying in communication during any absence is expected.

  • Absences on the day immediately before or after a three-day holiday weekend will result in forfeiture of holiday pay for that period.

Route Duties:

  • All invoices, time sheets, and route sheets must be signed by a store representative upon completion of daily duties.

  • Comply with all store-specific vendor requirements, including signing in and out, wearing visitor or vendor badges, and following any account-specific procedures while performing merchandising duties.

  • Any account receiving merchandising services must be documented with photos of filled shelf sets and available backstock. Upon completion, email the photos to the sales account manager, all merchandisers, and the PET Manager.

  • When operating a company vehicle, you are required to obey all applicable traffic laws at all times. Speeding is strictly prohibited.

Additional Duties:

  • You may be asked to assist with vehicle drop-off or pick-up when a company van requires repairs, safety inspections, or routine maintenance. Some situations may require coordination between two drivers.

Communications:

  • All calls and messages from co-workers must be acknowledged and returned promptly. If you are driving, pull over safely or wait until you have reached your destination before responding.

  • All emails addressed to you directly must receive a reply in a timely manner.
