The average hourly pay for pest control workers typically ranges from $15 to $25 per hour, depending on experience, location, and the employer. Entry-level technicians may start at the lower end, while those with more experience or specialized certifications can earn higher wages. Pest control technicians often encounter challenges such as working in tight or confined spaces, exposure to various chemicals, and dealing with unpredictable pest infestations. Safety is a top priority, so using proper protective equipment and following strict safety protocols is essential. Additionally, technicians must communicate effectively with clients to set expectations and educate them about prevention methods. Staying up-to-date with the latest pest control techniques and regulations can also help manage these challenges and ensure successful outcomes.

Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently help technicians excel in this role. These skills ensure safe, effective pest management and high customer satisfaction while complying with regulations.

How many hours do pest control workers work?

Pest control workers typically work full-time hours, averaging around 40 hours per week. They may work evenings or weekends depending on client needs and may need to handle safety protocols when applying chemicals. Overtime can be required during busy seasons or to meet urgent service requests.
