Job description

Altaire Apartments is seeking an Experienced Service Technicians to join our team in Arlington, VA! The Service Technician is responsible for performing various maintenance functions that are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community.

Successful Candidates should possess the following job requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years' experience in Community Management
  • Must be able to lift 25-100 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be available to assist in after-hours emergency situations.
  • Must be available for night/weekend call duty.
  • Must be able to work during inclement weather.
  • Inspect property and report any safety hazards or needed repairs to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist with hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, freezing temperatures, snow removal, etc.
  • Must accompany vendors in occupied units for services, including but not limited to pest control, property inspections, etc.
  • Assist office staff with delivery of resident notices.
  • Will be required to work 1 weekend day.

Must have the knowledge and ability to perform the following duties:

  • Plumbing repairs
  • Repair/replace locks, smoke alarms
  • Appliance repairs
  • Electrical repairs
  • Roofing inspection/minor roof repairs
  • HVAC repairs
