Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Pest Control Technicians provide the vital link between our company and our clients through exceptional customer service. They spend their day traveling to appointments and meeting with customers to assess pest problems and execute specialized treatment plans in and around their homes and places of business. Technicians recommend corrective actions to prevent future pest problems. They help the community by solving their pest challenges, building long-term relationships with customers on their route, while protecting their homes and businesses.

  • Deliver extraordinary customer service
  • Respond to customer's needs in a professional and timely manner
  • Physically administer and monitor various pest control measures, indoors and outdoors in potentially hot or cold working environments
  • Perform physical labor and using a variety of tools/equipment
  • Establish effective working relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers in the office, verbally and in writing, as needed
  • Read, understand, and follow labels and SDS forms for hazardous chemicals used during service
  • Work independently and maintaining your route
  • Drive a company vehicle safely to customer's homes and businesses
  • Use a handheld device to manage services and document structural, sanitation, and pest issues
  • Follow all proper safety guidelines
  • Inspect, maintain, and utilize PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Maintain working order and cleanliness of assigned company vehicle
  • Remain up to date on the company's product and service offerings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Availability to work at least 40 hours per week including some weekends
  • High school degree or equivalent

Required Skills

  • Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Solid attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders and to navigate close quarters
  • Ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
