The Opportunity: What You Will Be Doing
This role involves comprehensive inspections, accurate pest identification, developing and implementing effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plans, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction while strictly adhering to all state/federal safety and compliance regulations, along with Racer Pest Control policies and procedures.
You will have the freedom to manage your assigned daily schedule, successfully completing an average of 7 - 12 service calls daily, and continued opportunities to increase your income through performance-based commissions on new clients and new services.
Day-to-Day Snapshot:

  • Travel to various customer locations across Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties
  • Conduct detailed inspections, apply pesticides and/or other pest management solutions
  • Educate customers on pest prevention and safety practices.
  • Complete digital service reports and diagrams accurately
  • Maintain effective communication with the office/dispatch
Compensation & Benefits Transparency

  • Competitive Hourly Wage: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, qualifications, and time licensed
  • Performance Commissions: Earn additional income through performance-based commissions on new clients, new services, and five star reviews.

The Fit: Clear Expectations and Requirements

Education & Licenses (Must Haves)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Branch II Field Representative License, clear of any citations
  • Valid California Class C Drivers License with a clean driving record
Experience, Skills & Knowledge (Must Haves)
  • Previous experience as a Branch II Field Representative
  • Foundational knowledge of common structural pests, their biology, and control methods
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of IPM principles
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment commonly used in pest control
  • Manages and prioritizes time efficiently to complete scheduled jobs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Basic phone literacy for digital record keeping and software usage
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Physical Ability: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, crawling, and carrying. Must be able to work in confined spaces (attics/crawl spaces) and at heights.
  • Work Environment: Interior and exterior conditions. Exposure to various weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, wind) dust and noise. Appropriate PPE and uniforms are provided and required.
  • Travel: Daily travel between customer properties within service areas of Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties.
Expected Schedule
  • 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday - Friday
  • Flexibility with start/end times based on service needs
  • Saturday, approximately two to four times annually
  • Occasional overtime may be needed to meet project deadlines and uphold our commitment to client satisfaction
