These colleges offer courses on pest identification, safe pesticide use, integrated pest management, and legal regulations. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to control pests safely and effectively in residential, commercial, and agricultural settings. Some programs also help students prepare for state licensing exams required for professional pest control technicians.

What are some common challenges faced by pest control technicians working in a college campus environment?

Pest control technicians on college campuses often face unique challenges, such as managing pest issues in large, diverse buildings with high foot traffic and varying sanitation practices. They must coordinate with facilities staff, dormitory managers, and sometimes even students to identify problem areas while minimizing disruption to campus activities.
