Job Overview
Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is looking for an optimistic, committed, and motivated candidate who has at least 5 years of experience with citrus pest control. This job will require traveling from one ranch to another which will require a valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
Duties / Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for finding insects, diseases, weeds and other organisms along with implementing IPM programs and writing recommendations
  • Monitor and scout fields for economic thresholds
  • Evaluate chemical efficacy in fields
  • Correctly use chemicals for maximum fruit quality
  • Communicate with ranch managers to coordinate pesticide applications
  • Comply with California Department of Pesticide Regulations
  • Order chemicals and keep inventory up to date
  • Manage field scouts
  • Coordinate pest control operations
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • BS in Ag or plant science preferred
  • Must be able to follow our Fleet Safety Program and Policies
  • Valid PCA license
Physical Requirements
  • Employee is regularly required to walk, stand for periods of time at workstation, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes can include work in dusty or muddy work conditions
