Responsibilities

The Director, Business Development will partner across the Groupe when The Lab plays an integral role in a new business opportunity, building and designing the data, tech, audience, and AI narrative. The ideal candidate will:

  • Oversee the efforts to acquire new clients, growing revenue for the Groupe at large, and retain strategic accounts
  • Lead responses to client inquiries pertaining to data, audience, and analytics, including Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), capabilities presentations, working sessions, client briefs, and final proposal documents
  • Oversee the development, design, and presentation of all client pitch presentations
  • Thoughtfully manage all pitch activities (including global and local): responsible from receipt of request through final submission / presentations
  • Collaborate closely with Groupe capabilities to craft pitch strategy and narrative
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, building trusted relationships across the Agency Leads, Groupe capabilities, Epsilon, etc.  

The ideal candidate should understand strategy, media, and technology, and have direct experience with business development, product marketing, agency service frameworks, and organizational design.

Candidates will be successful when they:

  • Strong understanding of the marketing and media industry, pipeline management and client acquisition
  • Strategic thinker and content creator, crafting a storyline that compels the client prospect to partner with the Groupe, or retain a strategic account
  • Illustrate the ability to prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate to senior leadership team as necessary
  • Have proficiency in communicating clearly and concisely, keeping audience in mind
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to craft concise briefs for senior executives and clients

  • Have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, resourceful team player
  • Are an excellent creative thinker with the ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions

Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or Strategy-related discipline
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience with marketing and media agencies or adjacent capabilities, such as ad- and mar-tech firms, consultancies, or client-side marketing organizations
  • Demonstrated skills in slide design, analysis, writing, communication, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to look at the larger picture with a strategic perspective, balanced with an eye for detail

Compensation Range: USD $121,315- $194,220 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
