Contract Pre-ETS Instructor (Independent Contractor)

Location: Davis County, Utah (In-Person Instruction)

Position Overview

Bloom Consulting is seeking an independent contractor to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to students during the school day in Davis County, Utah.

This contract role includes in-person instruction at local schools or community sites, along with remote responsibilities for planning and documentation. The schedule is part-time with flexible hours, making it ideal for a retired professional or someone seeking project-based, flexible work.

Services are delivered under the direction of the Coordinator of Pre-ETS as part of a state-funded Vocational Rehabilitation contract, supporting students ages 14-22 with disabilities in developing workplace readiness skills.

This is a 1099 independent contractor role with Bloom Consulting and is not employment with a school district or Davis County.

Scope of Work
  • Provide Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) instruction to students ages 14-22 with disabilities
  • Deliver individual and small group instruction in school and/or community settings
  • Plan and organize instructional activities independently
  • Complete required state documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update student records (electronic and paper-based)
  • Participate in meetings and support curriculum planning as needed
  • Engage with students in a professional and educational manner
  • Utilize cloud-based tools and technology to manage services and reporting
Work Structure
  • In-person service delivery during school hours in Davis County
  • Remote work for planning, documentation, and communication
  • Flexible, contract-based schedule with limited hours
  • Contractor is responsible for managing their own schedule and workload within program requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least one year of experience:
    • Teaching in public or private schools and/or
    • Providing instruction to individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage a variable workload
  • Access to a reliable laptop and internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in education, counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Experience working with transition-age youth (14-22)
