Job description

Job Summary:

The Personal Support Instructor (PSI) provides daily care and behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The PSI helps individuals achieve greater self-sufficiency through structured routines, goal-based activities, and hands-on support aligned with each personโ€™s Individual Support Plan (ISP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living tasks and household responsibilities
  • Implement ISP goals and behavior strategies
  • Support community participation and recreational activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Attend required training and agency meetings
  • Administer medications and document in Medication Administration Record
  • Provide 24-hour emergency support as needed
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Communicate attendance issues or emergencies to supervisors

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (REQUIRED)
  • Clean driving record, valid CA Driverโ€™s License, and current auto insurance
