Job description

Salary range: $125K - $125K
Location: Phoenix, AZ

About this role

We are looking for an Intake Attorney with 2+ years of experience in personal injury, mass torts, or plaintiffs'-side practice to serve as the legal decision-maker within a high-volume intake operation that retains over 1,000 new cases per month. This is a unique opportunity to sharpen your case-valuation instincts across personal injury, rideshare abuse, and mass tort practice areas while operating inside one of the most sophisticated intake organizations in the plaintiffs' bar.

What will you be doing?

  • Making retain/decline decisions on prospective cases escalated by a 60+ person global intake team based on liability, damages, coverage, and firm criteria
  • Personally handling high-value, legally complex, or sensitive intakes — including rideshare abuse and sex abuse claimants — with a trauma-informed approach
  • Owning and refining intake screening criteria, qualification scripts, and escalation rules across multiple practice areas
  • Training non-attorney intake staff on legal issues, statutes of limitation, ethical boundaries, and unauthorized practice of law
  • Partnering with litigation teams, mass tort leadership, and marketing to align intake criteria with active campaigns and firm strategy

Key Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school with an active license in at least one U.S. state
  • 2+ years of experience in personal injury, mass torts, or related plaintiffs'-side practice
  • Strong command of liability/damages analysis, insurance coverage fundamentals, and statute-of-limitations issues
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound, fast decisions at high volume without sacrificing quality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with empathy and professionalism when speaking with injured/traumatized prospective clients
