Position Summary:


The Survivor Resources Case Manager works closely with HAVEN clients, encouraging, empowering, educating, and supporting them to achieve their personalized goals through continuous partnership, assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and intervention when needed.


Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday. 9a-6p shifts with one late shift 12p-9 (day of the week is flexible) and Saturday 10a-2p


Essential Duties:

  • Provide trauma-informed and empowerment-based case management services to survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual violence.
  • Maintain and manage all aspects of Case Management. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing strength-based and solution focused goals with clients, providing referrals to other HAVEN programs, aiding with safety planning, providing education to clients regarding sexual violence dynamics, maintaining accurate and compliant client documentation and case files, prove conflict resolution and crisis intervention, etc.
  • Collaborate with community partners in order to advocate for survivors and stay current with relevant community resources (housing, legal, financial, medical, etc.) within Oakland Country and surrounding communities.
  • Complete regular client check in’s in person, by phone and/or home visits based on HAVEN’s Case Management processes and procedures.
  • Facilitate skill-building workshops for all clients on a regular basis
  • Complete data entry and reporting documentation
  • Assist with training and mentoring new staff, interns and volunteers
  • Attend trainings as required by agency and/or funder(s)
  • Other job duties as assigned
Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Must be able to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Must be willing to commute to Pontiac

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Service area or an equivalent combination of education, work and volunteer experience assisting individuals with goal setting, building life skills and problem solving
  • Knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault.
  • Minimum one (1) years case management, behavioral health or related experience required.
  • One (1) year of residential services experience and experience in crisis intervention, emergency shelter and/or transitional housing.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
