What is a personal errand driver?

Personal errand drivers are professionals who provide transportation services for individuals needing assistance with daily tasks such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, running errands, or attending appointments. They help clients who may not have access to a vehicle, are unable to drive, or prefer not to drive themselves. Personal errand drivers often offer flexible scheduling and personalized service, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and securely. Their goal is to make everyday life easier and more convenient for their clients.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a personal errand driver, and why are they important?

These skills ensure safe, timely, and trustworthy service, which is essential for client satisfaction and repeat business.

What are the most common challenges faced by personal errand drivers, and how can they be managed effectively?

ABOUT THE ROLE

A remote-based professional in the De Luz/Temecula area is seeking a dependable, discreet personal assistant to support day-to-day logistics – primarily picking up, purchasing, and delivering printed materials and administrative supplies. This is a detail-oriented support role ideal for someone who is organized, punctual, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Purchase office/administrative supplies as requested (with reimbursement or a set budget)

·       Run periodic errands related to day-to-day administrative needs

·       Follow specific handling and delivery instructions precisely and consistently

·       Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the employer's schedule, requests, and any materials handled

REQUIREMENTS

·       Must be local to the De Luz/Temecula area

·       Reliable personal vehicle, older model (pre-2005) preferred

·       Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance

·       Strong reliability and communication – this role depends on consistency

·       Comfortable following detailed, specific instructions without needing them re-explained

·       High discretion and respect for privacy; this is a low-visibility, personal support role

·       Prior experience as a courier, personal assistant, or in administrative support is a plus but not required

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

·       10-20 hours per week, with flexibility on timing

·       Pay range is $22-28/hr, but is negotiable and will be discussed based on experience during the interview process

·       This is a part-time contract/employee position (to be clarified at offer stage)
