Accela Analyst
On-Site, Lawrenceville, GA
Contract Position: 6+ months to start

Seeking a Senior Accela Automation Analyst to administer, configure, and support the Accela Automation SaaS platform, including Citizen Access, Mobile Office, and GIS integration. This role covers full-cycle configuration, scripting, custom development, reporting, and end-user support for permitting, licensing, and other public-sector workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Accela applications, forms, workflows, and reports based on business requirements
  • Write scripts and code (JavaScript, .NET, APIs) to extend Accela's functionality and tailor it to organizational processes
  • Configure Accela modules (e.g., Civic Platform) and implement custom logic via Accela Script and JavaScript
  • Build and maintain integrations between Accela and third-party systems (payment gateways, GIS, Cashiering, SMS, ERP)
  • Ensure integrations are secure, efficient, and scalable using APIs and web services
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to custom scripts, workflows, and integrations; conduct testing and debugging
  • Manage SQL Server databases supporting the platform
  • Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials; lead Accela training for business teams during UAT and releases
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT teams and end users
  • Track progress and report to the Land Information Solutions Supervisor
  • Maintain ticketing system with accurate, up-to-date records
  • Perform occasional physical IT tasks (lifting 10–50 lbs, ladder work, standing/kneeling/crouching as needed)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Accela Automation, configuration management, and EMSE scripting
  • Strong knowledge of On-Prem and Cloud Accela platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
  • Proficiency with JIRA, SharePoint, Visio, MS Office Suite, Teams, Power BI, GitHub, Postman, and SSIS
  • Experience with Accela Ad Hoc/SSRS Reporting and Digital Plan Room
  • Experience integrating Accela with other systems (e.g., Oracle Financials, SMS platforms)
  • Knowledge of GIS concepts and applications
  • Experience working with government organizations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Accela Administration experience, including Construct API integrations
  • Experience with Teller Cashiering Platform, Twilio SMS Messaging, or SAP
  • Programming and application development experience
  • Strong customer service skills (in-person, phone, and electronic)
  • Analyst/systems experience in large-scale IT environments
  • Accela certification(s)
