Position Description: This role is primarily responsible for coordinating and managing all documents required for submitting and obtaining building permits, utilities, water taps, and impact fees. This is an in-office role based in our Alpharetta, GA location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with different municipalities on behalf of Davidson Homes.
  • Prepare and submit timely check requests and payments for permits, water taps and impact fees
  • Deliver building permit applications to responsible municipality and pick up when ready
  • Process permits including but not limited to coordinating all necessary documents, applying for permits, and following the permits through each municipality
  • Apply for utilities, including power and water, for each lot
  • Assist community builders with miscellaneous issues such as fees or holds
  • Upload and record permit details into builder software
  • Serve as the designated division contact for permitting issues and respond promptly
  • Assist with preparing new start packages for community builders
  • Assist other areas as needed with tasks to include but not limited to closings, reclass applications, subcontractor lists, and certificate of occupancy requests

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driverโ€™s license.
  • 2-years minimum experience permitting with a production home builder required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent overall computer skills including proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Bluebeam experience preferred.
  • CAD experience preferred.
