Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., is excited to announce an immediate opening for a part-time Permit Technician in the San Bernardino, CA area. If you are an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, public-facing environment and takes pride in supporting municipal operations, we want to hear from you! As a Permit Technician, you will be the first point of contact for residents, contractors, and developers at the permit counter. Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely processing of permits.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer support at the counter and over the phone.
  • Review permit applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Calculate and collect permit fees.
  • Process and issue building permits.
  • Ensure all conditions of approvals are met prior to issuance.
  • Assist the public with completing permit applications.
  • Verify all necessary project approvals are obtained.
  • Notify applicants when construction documents and/or permits are ready.
  • Coordinate and route documents for plan review and approval.
  • Help resolve resident inquiries and complaints.

What You'll Bring

  • ICC Permit Tech Certification.
  • Counter Technician and municipal experience.
