Job description

Do you have an aptitude for troubleshooting and technical expertise? We may have the opportunity for you! The Test Technician I performs standard testing processes on various equipment and analyzes the results. The technician will be responsible for test and fault isolation to ensure conformance with product specifications.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
  • Run automated tests and be able to comprehend the results.
  • Ability to follow process guides and work instructions.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Associate's degree in a related field of study.
  • 0-1 years' experience as a technician or in a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.
  • Familiarity with technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Familiarity with test concepts and techniques, and test standard lab equipment.
  • Basic understanding of test equipment including Signal generators, Spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Associate's degree with a focus on Electronics.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • RF troubleshooting and testing experience.
  • Board level diagnostics.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform testing processes on equipment, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Conduct fault isolation and troubleshooting, requiring hand/finger dexterity.
  • Analyze and document test results, spending significant time on computers.
  • Work in potentially hazardous or loud environments, following safety protocols.
  • Ability to travel may be required.
  • For office roles, capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
