The PositionWe are seeking a Pour End Production Supervisor on 1st Shift to be responsible for pour end manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Manufacturing Operations and excellent people skills combined with solid technical knowledge. You will assist the Pour Manager in the development and management of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You will manage permanent and temporary employees in the pour and reheat zones with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, continuous improvement and 5S. You should have first-hand experience with modern manufacturing methodology including Lean Manufacturing. This will include but not limited to staffing, training, achieving efficiency standards, ensuring a quality product is produced, and achieving scheduled completion dates. You will learn the knowledge and skills in ERP systems to ensure production lines are set up with correct material and inventory is accurate. You will be responsible for 5S and continuous improvement activities on their respective lines and will provide support for department and site 5S and continuous improvement efforts.
The Pour End Production Supervisor is perfect for someone with great communication and leadership skills! You will be responsible for ensuring your work area is running at peak efficiency and keeping morale high. Safety compliance is a huge part of this position, and it is your job to ensure that the employees you are leading go home in one piece.
The Hours
Our starting times adjust based on the product line-up for the day, usually commencing between 3:00am and 4:00am. We run production 4 days a week for 10 hours a day.
