• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and relationship issues, giving priority to understanding the factors contributing to their challenges.
• Develop customized treatment plans based on tailored assessments, clients’ goals, and evidence-based practices, including modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to ensure alignment with their evolving needs and circumstances.
• Educate and support clients and their families regarding mood disorders and therapeutic options while promoting self-care practices that contribute to mental health.
• Advocate for clients, emphasizing the importance of breaking mental health stigmas and addressing individual needs for support.
• Stay current with ongoing research in family therapy and mood disorders to continuously enhance treatment methodologies and improve outcomes.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering strictly to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training, professional development workshops, and case consultation groups to enhance skill sets and therapeutic strategies.

You will work primarily with individuals and families facing challenges related to mood disorders, relationship issues, divorce, and overall life transitions. Our clinic emphasizes a comprehensive approach to therapy, allowing you to harness a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is imperative.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster a secure and trusting therapeutic environment are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to approach client situations with empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude.
• Strong organizational skills are necessary for effective time management and administrative tasks.

• A focus on divorce and relationship counseling will be advantageous, given our clinic's specialized needs.
