Hydroform Operator
Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
  • Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
  • Compensation: $30.00 - 40.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Schedule: 1st Shift - 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday-Friday
  • Overtime, including Saturdays, as needed

Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Align workpieces properly on the hydroform machine according to setup instructions
  • Lubricate parts as specified in work instructions
  • Operate the hydroform press to perform required forming operations
  • Monitor pressure gauges and height settings to ensure correct parameters are maintained
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of parts to confirm compliance with customer specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on assigned presses within required timeframes
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance is completed according to the established PM schedule
  • Use precision measuring tools such as:
  • Micrometers
  • Dial calipers
  • Indicator gauges
  • Radius gauges
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • U.S. citizenship or valid Permanent Resident status is required due to the nature of work performed
  • Minimum 4 years of hydroform press operation experience
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is a strong plus
  • Proficient in basic math: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Capable of setting up hydroform presses independently
  • Able to run hydroform presses without limitations
  • Understand and adjust forming pressures as required
  • Able to change diaphragms in hydroform machines
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting aerospace blueprints
  • Experience operating circle and square shears
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
  • Maintains a positive attitude and strong work ethics
