Senior Project Manager – Merchandising & IT Projects (Long-Term Contract)

Chicago, IL – Hybrid (flexible schedule)

Must have 7 years  retail experience.
 

Project Manager we are seeking: What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end project management for merchandising and IT initiatives (planning, execution, delivery).
  • Partner with business stakeholders (merchants, supply chain, finance) and IT teams to align priorities and ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and vendor relationships.
  • Facilitate Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies as needed.
  • Drive system implementations, upgrades, and integrations across merchandising and retail platforms.
  • Ensure clear communication and reporting to senior leadership.

Project Manager Skills We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of project management experience, with proven success in retail, merchandising, or supply chain technology projects.
  • Strong knowledge of merchandising systems (allocation, assortment planning, category management, inventory).
  • Experience with ERP, POS, or retail systems (SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, JDA/Blue Yonder)
  • Background in IT project delivery (SDLC, Agile/Scrum, technical integrations).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • PMP, CSM, or SAFe certification is a plus.
