Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our production and process equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems, as well as managing preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain all process and production equipment as well as general building maintenance.
  • Repair and maintain plant process, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Design, implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment.
  • Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and management requirements.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Work directly with engineers, machinists, assemblers, and machine operators.
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with electrical aspects and troubleshooting electronics.
  • Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions provided by manufacturers.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional electrical, hydraulic, and process systems drawings.
