Job description

Interventional & Diagnostic Radiology PA or Nurse Practitioner

Radiology Associates of North Texas P.A. has an opening for a full‑time Interventional / Diagnostic Radiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. This position will start a nine‑to‑12‑month training program with hospital rotations through Fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiology. Training takes place in Denison, Texas at Texoma Medical Center (TMC). Once training has been completed, the majority of the APP’s time will be spent at TMC working with a team of APPs and Interventional and Diagnostic radiologists. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. There are no required nights, weekends, or call as part of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic and vascular interventional radiology procedures (not all inclusive) including preliminary diagnostic interpretation reports, Barium enemas, esophograms, upper GI series, arthrograms, myelograms, lumbar punctures, central venous access, biopsies, drainages, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
  • Perform H&P’s, consents, pre/post procedural patient care
  • Patient admissions, discharges, inpatient/outpatient consults and follow‑ups
Minimum Education, Certification, and Prior Experience Required
  • Master’s in physician assistant studies or equivalent from an accredited program
  • Master of Science in Nursing Specializing in Acute Care equivalent from an accredited program
  • ACLS/BLS certification
  • Current medical license (ideally Texas) in good standing without disciplinary action
  • NCCPA board certification
  • Certification by either the American Nurse Credentials Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
