Job description

We are seeking an experienced PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs who enjoy flexibility and autonomy while working in a collaborative and fast-paced GI setting.

What You'll Do
  • Provide exceptional nursing care before, during, and after procedures
  • Admit, assess, and educate patients prior to procedures
  • Prepare procedure rooms and assist physicians during endoscopy procedures
  • Monitor patient vitals and recovery post-procedure
  • Provide discharge instructions and patient education to patients and families
  • Accurately document patient information and clinical updates
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including respiratory or cardiac events
  • Assist with patient transport and clinic flow as needed
  • Support daily clinic operations, including cleaning, wrapping, and sterilizing equipment
  • Registered Nurse with current RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI lab, Surgery Center or Critical Care setting highly preferred
  • Pre-Op and/or PACU experience is helpful
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, electronic health systems and databases, such as EPIC, required
  • Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
