Job description

Hexcel is currently seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist for our Salt Lake City, UT location.  Other Hexcel manufacturing locations will also be considered. Support sourcing operations across U.S. sites by coordinating day-to-day activities and helping meet company sourcing goals. This role also contributes to developing and maintaining strategies for routine commodities used across multiple locations, offering a great opportunity to build procurement experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Lead supplier cost, quality and delivery initiatives; manage external material sourcing and support global and regional category strategies.
  • Conduct and support supplier negotiations in alignment with legal and stakeholder requirements; serve as liaison between site leadership and suppliers to achieve sourcing goals.
  • Develop and maintain sourcing plans and risk mitigation strategies; scout new suppliers and materials to enhance cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs; implement action plans and continuous improvement strategies across sourcing phases and production.
  • Analyze spend data to inform cost-reduction and service-improvement strategies; report performance and progress to executive leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist the Sourcing Director and the sourcing team with budget planning and strategic initiatives related to material spend and supplier management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience with a proven track record in challenging manufacturing environments; aerospace industry experience desired. Background in Chemical sourcing or Engineering a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analytics for supplier evaluation and spend management.
  • Green Belt and/or Project Management Certifications preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality standards: AS9100 and ISO 9001.
