JOB DETAILS
Job Summary
The Meat Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the meat department, including inventory management, product quality, merchandising, and team performance. This role ensures department operations align with company standards, maintain high levels of product quality and freshness, and support overall sales and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the meat department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through proper stock control, rotation, and replenishment practices
  • Ensure all meat products are handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with company and food safety standards
  • Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
  • Supervise and manage department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and performance expectations
  • Coordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagement
  • Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address areas of concern
  • Oversee receiving processes by ensuring incoming product is properly inspected for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain overall department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with applicable regulations
Qualifications
