The Department of Neurosurgery at Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trainedPeripheral Nerve Neurosurgeonto establish and grow a comprehensive clinical program serving patients throughout Penn State Health and the surrounding region.
This faculty position offers a unique opportunity to build a dedicated Peripheral Nerve Surgery Program within a nationally recognized academic health system. The successful candidate will provide advanced surgical care for patients with complex peripheral nerve disorders while supporting the department's missions of exceptional patient care, education, research, and innovation.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across Penn State Health, the physician will expand access to highly specialized neurosurgical services, develop regional referral relationships, advance clinical excellence, and contribute to the education of residents and medical students.
This position is strategically designed to strengthen the Department of Neurosurgery's clinical programs, enhance academic excellence, and support continued growth throughout Penn State Health's regional network.

The successful candidate will:
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical treatment for patients with peripheral nerve disorders.
- Continue to develop and grow a specialized Peripheral Nerve Surgery Program across Penn State Health.
- Deliver care in both academic and community practice settings to expand patient access to highly specialized neurosurgical services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in resident and medical student education through clinical instruction, operative teaching, conferences, and mentorship.
- Engage in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and scholarly activities that advance the field of neurosurgery.
- Support departmental growth through outreach efforts, physician engagement, and referral network development.
- Participate in departmental committees, faculty activities, and other responsibilities consistent with an academic faculty appointment.

- Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
- Demonstrated expertise in the management of complex peripheral nerve disorders
- Interest in program development and clinical growth initiatives
- Dedication to resident and medical student education
- Experience or interest in clinical research and scholarly activity
- Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
- Commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care
This faculty position is designed to address a growing regional need for specialized peripheral nerve expertise.
