Oral Surgery Assistant

At The Smilist, we aim to provide high quality dental care in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. Our team is dedicated to making lives better one smile at a time. We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Oral Surgery Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care. This position will work out of the following locations: Massapequa, East Meadow, Syosset, Amityville, Whitestone, Valley Stream, Riverhead, Rockville Centre and Greenpoint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
  • Escort patients to and from the front desk
  • Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
  • Prior perio experience
  • Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
  • Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details
  • Schedule: Full Time
  • Salary Range: $25.00-$30.00/hour and monthly travel stipend
  • Location: Massapequa, East Meadow, Greenpoint, Syosset, Amityville, Whitestone, Valley Stream, Rockville Centre and Riverhead - must be willing to work in all locations!
