Required: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocation Nurse Program if hired after March 1, 2025; proof of graduation not required if LVN license issued and maintained in good standing by California Board of Vocational Nursing prior to January 1, 2000; if assigned to CC7700 Wound Care Clinic (Warke) must complete Hyperbaric Medicine (HBOT) training course completion within one (1) year of hire

Essential Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.2. Performs within the scope of practice for the professional license held.3. Assists Registered Nurses (RN) and physicians by ensuring that appropriate data collection and preparation, examination and diagnostic testing occur without error and without delay.4. Ensures accurate documentation of all patient care activity; communicates data on patient assessment to RN, if applicable.5. Completes patient assignment within assigned shift as directed by RN; evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and patients progress toward expected outcomes every shift, if applicable.6. Maintains lab and other diagnostic test results and reports to RN in a timely manner, if applicable.7. Orders and communicates supply needs to supervisor to ensure work areas are appropriately and maintained.8. Answers telephone in a polite efficient manner; takes clear and accurate messages, transfers calls.9. Provides timely and appropriate discharge instructions to patients.10. Contributes to cost effectiveness by using judgment when opening and using supplies.11. Maximizes free time between patients and other duties to assist with cleaning and organizing workstation, cleaning rooms, and filing; assists other nurses with care, if applicable.12. Performs patient callbacks with information about test results or for quality customer service.13. Coordinates breaks and lunch periods with team members so as not to compromise patient flow.14. Maintains and practices professional boundaries with all patient interactions.15. Performs other duties as assigned.
