Job description

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic? If so, this may be an opportunity for you. Look us up on-line at www.kutol.com and you will find that Kutol Products Company is a growing manufacturer of liquid skin care products, including OTC Drugs and Cosmetics. We process and package a complete line of industrial and institutional hand soaps and hand sanitizers from our LEED Certified manufacturing facility in Sharonville, Ohio.

The opportunity that we have available is for Maintenance on 2nd Shift, work hours are 2:30pm โ€“ 10:30pm Monday through Friday, with overtime as required.

This position utilizes electrical and mechanical skills to trouble shoot and maintain our liquid filling and batching equipment. This role performs service and repair of all production & packaging equipment, as well as pumps and tanks. Knowledge of inkjet coders, in-line labeling equipment, bottle unscramblers etc. is beneficial, and PLC expertise is a plus. A broad skill set for maintenance of general plant facilities is also needed.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides maintenance on machines, equipment, pumps and production tanks.
  • Completes preventative maintenance as scheduled
  • Works collaboratively with TeamMates who operate equipment to keep machines up and running for production, may provide simple direction to those TeamMates to improve run time.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs machines and gear boxes on production tanks.
  • Handles electrical repairs; wires lights and motors, plugs, switches and telephone lines.
  • Performs electronic maintenance such as voltage checks, input/output signals on PLCโ€™s, motor testing/amperage checks and wiring in general.
  • Repairs plumbing and water lines as required.
  • Welds some equipment as needed.
  • Identifies parts needed for maintenance and repair for the plant, office and manufacturing machines & equipment.
  • Maintains 5S standards for safety and good housekeeping daily, so that the maintenance department remains clean and organized.
  • Follows established safety procedures in completion of repairs and tasks.

Requirements

Education/Knowlege/Skills/Abilities

  • A degree in post-secondary vocational training or an associate degree in a related field with a minimum 2 year of work experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting or High School Diploma with equivalent work experience.
  • Thorough understanding of production and manufacturing processes, and equipment repair.
  • Electrical, plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to use various hand tools; knowledge of machines and machine parts for repair of equipment and maintenance of building
  • Good interpersonal skill to effectively support and communicate with Team Leads and Set-Up Mechanics

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Lifting and moving objects and machinery up to 60 pounds at varying frequencies
  • Various physical positions required to perform repair and maintenance duties
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and good driving record (trips to hardware store for parts, etc.)
  • Stand/walk combination 90% of the time
  • Dusty conditions and exposure to chemicals, fragrance, and perfumes
