Job description

A private UHNW family with multiple children is seeking an exceptional, highly experienced Newborn Care Specialist for a twelve-month period beginning in November 2026.

This is a 24/7, seven-day-per-week position, with the NCS compensated for all hours worked. Scheduled meal and rest breaks will be provided during the day by other experienced nannies in the home, and the candidate may leave the property during agreed-upon breaks.

The home is fully staffed with childcare professionals, housekeepers, a private chef, and drivers. The NCS’s sole responsibility will be the newborn. There are pets in the home, but they are cared for by other team members.

The mother works from home, is highly involved in her children’s lives and will collaborate closely with the NCS. This role requires someone confident and knowledgeable who also respects the parents’ preferences and authority. The family maintains a long-standing, highly professional household team. Several current staff members have been with the family for more than five years, and turnover is low.

Schedule and Accommodations

* Twelve-month period anticipated

* 24/7 schedule anticipated with scheduled meal and rest breaks provided by other nannies.

* Candidate may leave the property during agreed-upon breaks.

* 10 days of paid vacation.

* Initially, a private en-suite bedroom will be provided for the NCS and newborn.

* Once the baby is developmentally ready for a separate sleeping arrangement, the NCS will be provided with a separate private en-suite bedroom.

* If the NCS is ill, care will be covered by the mother or a designated backup nanny.

Professional Standards

*The candidate must maintain strict confidentiality and will be required to sign an NDA. No photographs, recordings, social-media references or disclosure of information about the family, children, residences, travel or household will be permitted.

*The ideal candidate is warm, calm, observant, highly competent and receptive to feedback. They must work collaboratively within a fully staffed home while remaining focused exclusively on the baby.

*Any employment with the Company is contingent upon the completion of a background check

*The family’s identity and location will be disclosed only to appropriately vetted candidates through the agency or later-stage interview process.

*Qualified candidates should submit a résumé, relevant certifications, a summary of prior 24/7 newborn experience and five professional references.


  • Provide attentive, responsive care for the newborn around the clock.
  • Support feeding, sleep, soothing and development according to the parents’ preferences.
  • Maintain bottles, pump parts, baby laundry, cloth diapers and nursery items
  • Track feeding, sleep, diapering and relevant health or developmental observations.
  • Support respectful, developmentally appropriate movement, play and daily rhythms.
  • Collaborate professionally with the parents and existing household team.

  • Waldorf, Pikler, postpartum doula or lactation training is a strong plus.
  • Experience with cloth diapering is a plus

  • Minimum 10 years of professional newborn and infant-care experience.
  • Significant experience in UHNW private homes.
  • Previous experience in a genuine 24/7 residential newborn role.
  • Formal training and practical experience in RIE or respectful caregiving.
  • Current infant CPR and first-aid certification.

  • Ability to provide at least five verifiable professional references.
  • At least two references must be from families for whom the candidate worked continuously for three months or longer.
  • Absolute discretion, emotional maturity, sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Able to work in the USA

Fragrance-Free and Low-Toxicity Home

The candidate must be comfortable following the family’s fragrance-free and low-toxicity standards, including:

* No perfume, cologne or fragranced body sprays.

* No scented personal-care products.

* No scented laundry detergent, dryer sheets or fragrance boosters on work clothing.

* No smoking, vaping or cannabis use.

* Willingness to use family-approved products around the baby.


Compensation:

Hourly DOE (annual target $500,000–$700,000 gross)
