Job description

Residential Exterior Sales Representative | Roofing, Siding, Windows | $100K to $160K

Alltimate Roofing is hiring a full-time Residential Exterior Sales Representative to meet with homeowners, inspect roofing and exterior needs, present project options, explain financing, and help customers make confident decisions about their home.

This role is primarily focused on residential roofing, with opportunities to also sell siding, windows, gutters, repairs, and related exterior projects. Most of our work is retail residential exterior remodeling, with some storm damage, insurance, and repair-related conversations.

This is a W2, commission-based role with realistic first-year earnings of $100,000 to $160,000 for the right performer. Paid training is provided during ramp-up at $500 per week for two weeks.

Most appointments are company-generated, but this is not an order-taking role. The best reps here listen well, inspect thoroughly, explain options clearly, discuss financing confidently, create referral opportunities, and keep accurate customer information updated.

APPLICATION STEP

To be considered, please complete the ZipRecruiter application and screening questions.

Applicants who complete our Predictive Index assessment will receive priority consideration for interviews:

https://assessment.predictiveindex.com/bo/5CJG/AlltimateSalesRepresentitive

The assessment helps us evaluate role fit, communication style, decision-making, learning pace, and fit for a structured sales environment. It is not the only factor in our hiring decision, but completing it helps us move qualified candidates forward faster.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Meet homeowners in person for scheduled consultations
• Inspect roofing and exterior conditions
• Use required photos, ladder access, or drone documentation when needed
• Help homeowners understand project needs, timing, and available options
• Build estimates in AccuLynx
• Explain financing options clearly and professionally
• Discuss roofing, siding, windows, gutters, and related exterior solutions
• Answer questions around price, value, timing, financing, and project details
• Collect deposits on approved projects
• Keep CRM notes, tasks, photos, and customer updates current
• Provide clean handoff information for production and admin
• Attend weekly sales meetings and required training
• Work afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays based on homeowner availability
• Generate referrals and neighborhood opportunities when appropriate
• Take ownership of communication, follow-up quality, and customer experience

WHAT WE PROVIDE

• Company-generated appointments
• Paid training during ramp-up
• Ride-alongs
• Consultation process and scripts
• Financing and product training
• AccuLynx estimate templates
• GreenSky financing tools
• Tablet, ladder, 4K drone, measuring software, sales materials, and company apparel
• Company vehicle for appointments after approval and trust are established

During the first 90 days, the company vehicle is picked up and returned to the office unless otherwise approved.

WHO SUCCEEDS HERE

You will do well here if you are:

• Competitive
• Consistent
• Coachable
• Comfortable talking about money and financing
• Strong face-to-face with homeowners
• Able to listen before presenting
• Willing to follow a proven consultation process
• Able to guide homeowners without being pushy
• Disciplined with CRM notes, photos, and follow-up
• Motivated to create referrals and neighborhood opportunities
• Mature enough to take ownership instead of blaming leads, pricing, customers, weather, or the company

The best reps here follow the same professional process every time. They stay consistent, even after a good week or a difficult appointment.

WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY

Do not apply if:

• You need a base salary to stay motivated
• You are uncomfortable with commission-based income
• You do not want to work evenings or Saturdays
• You are not comfortable meeting homeowners in person
• You avoid talking about price, financing, or project details
• You want to simply wait for appointments to appear on your calendar
• You think CRM notes, photos, and follow-up are optional
• You want to do the job your own way instead of following a process
• You blame poor results on everyone except yourself
• You cannot handle direct coaching and accountability
• You do not have a valid driver’s license
• Your driving history would prevent you from responsibly operating a company vehicle

This role is for someone who wants to be trained, measured, coached, and paid based on performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Valid driver’s license
• Driving record acceptable for company vehicle use
• Ability to meet homeowners in person
• Ability to work evenings and Saturdays
• Comfort with commission-based compensation
• Comfort using CRM software, tablets, photos, and sales tools
• Ability to follow a structured consultation process
• Professional appearance and communication
• Willingness to inspect roofs and exterior home conditions
• Willingness to use ladder access or drone documentation when needed

Preferred

• In-home sales experience
• Roofing, siding, window, solar, HVAC, insurance, or exterior remodeling sales experience
• Experience selling larger residential projects
• Experience with AccuLynx or similar CRM systems
• Experience discussing financing options with customers

Roofing experience is helpful, but not required. We would rather train a strong in-home consultant with ownership, discipline, and coachability than hire someone experienced who will not follow the process.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time field role.

Appointments are scheduled when homeowners are available, which often means afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays. The service area includes Cleveland, TN and surrounding areas within approximately 90 minutes.

There is no daily office requirement at this time, but weekly meetings, required training, ride-alongs, CRM updates, and team communication are mandatory.

No Sundays are currently required.

COMPENSATION

This is a W2, commission-based role.

Realistic first-year earnings for the right performer are $100,000 to $160,000.

Paid training is provided during the initial ramp-up at $500 per week for two weeks.

Our average performers currently earn around $125,000 annually, and top performers earn around $160,000 annually.

We do not advertise fantasy income numbers. This role pays well because it requires consistency, accountability, strong communication, financing confidence, and the ability to guide homeowners through residential exterior projects professionally.
